PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLES

At SS Osmund and Andrew’s RCP School we strive to ensure that all pupils remain safe and free from harm and we are committed to playing a full and active part in the Multi-Agency response to Child Protection concerns. We recognise that we are an important part of the wider safeguarding system for children and young people.  The purpose of this document is to ensure that all our staff are aware of the arrangements that we have in place for safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of our pupils.  It provides guidance to help staff who may have concerns about the safety or welfare of a child or young person and sets out our position in relation to all aspects of the Safeguarding and Child Protection process.

Encompass

The aim of “Encompass” is to ensure that schools have timely information about all police attended incidents of domestic abuse, no matter where in the world the child lives. This will help staff to support children who are living in households where domestic abuse occurs.
